The London Bridge- Havasu City, CA.
We stayed along the Colorado River over Thanksgiving weekend in our RV and visited the old 1831 London Bridge.
It was larger than I imagined it would be, beautiful old stones layer upon layer. There is a great little brewry close by called "Barley Brothers Brewery" and a great mexican restaurant called "Javelina's" both sit along the river's edge. There is a nice walking trail along the water and no gate fee to enter. A few little shops too along the way.

Octillo Wells, CA.
We camped on the edge of a beautiful canyon in Octillo Wells, so peaceful; we had the whole place to ourselves. Sippin' some fine wine, a little BBQ and watching the sunset over the canyon. :-)

Family Reunion in Chico- Sunday 7-31-2011
It was also my Father-in-laws Birthday. We drove the RV down from Mom and Dad's house. Brittany caught a flight home to Portland from Sacramento the next day. We drove home to Palm Springs the following day with Lily & Cottie.
The drive was fine other than running over an aluminum ladder that we simply could not dodge... I'll never forget the sound of it hitting the underside of the RV " KaBAMMMMMMM!!" not sure if the hummer we were pulling hit it too. Suprisingly we couldn't find any damage after checking our rig. I was pretty shaken over it, earlier on my way down Lisa & I just missed a large tool box that was sitting in our lane in San Bernadino on our way down. A man ran out in front of her motorhome and grabbed it in the nick of time, as we slammed on the brakes, I really thought we were going to go into a skid. It's hard telling what you'll find laying in the middle of a freeway lane in So. California. After that, I was ready to get off the freeway and out of the motorhome for a while... Too many unpleasant surprises, which we seem to have alot of lately with the RV.
Gramma Nettie's Memorial 7-30-2011
My beloved Grandmother passed on July 10, 2011 at 8:50pm in Fall River Mills, CA. my hometown. She was 98 years old.
I last time I spoke to her was on the 4th of July, our parting words to each other were I love you... She was so much a part of my life growing up, she meant the world to me. I'm so thankful to have had her as my Grandma.
My sister and I drove up North together to help family prepare for her memorial services at the Day Hall. It turned out really beautiful. We inflated approx. 200 balloons with helium and shared a balloon release with everyone who came in honor of a great woman. Brittany, my daughter filmed it in the video clip, it was a beautiful tribute to her, as the balloons rose up and floated away to the east, someone said "look she's going back to Lookout".
