Another Favorite Furry Friend
My Sister's Dog Snoop, he travels with her and her family on their outings to the desert to ride their ATV Toys on Superstition Mountain.
Beauty on the Beach
I'm a rock fan in more ways than one. Love this one from Dana Point Beach and Harbor where my brother Tom goes Lobster diving at night.

Dana Point Harbor
We left the desert for a quick 2 day getaway to visit my family for an early Christmas, my parents came down from Northern, CA. where the temps dipped at -10 below. Oh my, makes my bones ache just thinking about it.
It was our first time driving the "yet to be named RV" to San Clemente. We took the Oceanside route and it went very well, much better than our usual route which has an off ramp that rises up to very undesirable heights, freaks me out in a car let alone driving it in an RV.
We learned there are many great places to camp in an RV along the coast. My sister-in-law mentioned Malibu with a few good hiking trails to enjoy. San Clemente has a couple camp grounds that have nice ocean views. We stayed at the end of their street and loved it, having our little home on wheels right there with our own comfy bed to sleep in. Can't wait to go back, we always have a great time at my sister's place.
San Clemente, CA
Spent an afternoon with family at Dana Point Harbor Our nephew Corbin caught his first fish off the pier, it was so cute. There were two fish on the line, one they named Lucky and threw him back and the other one he named George Washington as he raised his hand in a salute, lol he was a keeper.

Our Last Minute Sleep over....
We stayed the night at Harrah's Casino in Rincon,CA. This was on our way to Hemet. Being our second experience at "Casino Camping" it was wonderful, they have a huge lot on the south end of the casino for RV parking, might have been 3 other RV's as well that evening. We called the front desk to double check and it was no problem. A very quiet area with a security vehicle patroling throught out the evening, we would recommend it.

The Salton Sea
This is how it looks on a "Good Day" from a distance.... My parents used to come here and fish back in the late 1960's for Corvina. A local recently told us, "it's going to be the next Malibu someday" apparently when they get the funding to clean it up, not in our lifetime, lol....click on the link below to get an accurate sense of it's beach front property.

Anza-Borrego Springs State Park
Beautiful area to explore, they hold star gazing events here. The night sky is incredible, this is the first time I remember seeing the milky way so bright.

The Ocotillo Wells Airport
I haven't seen an airport like this since the movie " The English Patient"... omg, I cannot imagine for a second trying to land on dirt !
Thanksgiving 2008
It was just me and my Sweet Hubby together for Thanksgiving, we arrived at our destination, and started on dinner. Greg BBQ'd a turkey outside while I prepared the
rest of dinner. Found our biggest bottle of cheap chardonnay and poured to our hearts content while the pitter patter of warm desert sprinkles danced on the roof our our RV.
The Drive to Borrego Springs Village
I love the desert landscape especially before or after a weather system passes over. The colors are so much more brilliant with the gray skies.
We like looking for little places out in the desert away from town, I laugh when I try to imagine what a fixer-upper this would be.... Looks like a 2 story outhouse.
